Cuba Spices Up Exports by Adding Hot Pepper |

Havana.- Cuban exports have been seasoned with a new item: the hot pepper Chile Habanero, which according to insiders has sold over a hundred tons since the local Agri-industrial Enterprise Ceballos started its marketing in 2016.
By the end of 2019 markets in Holland, France and Canada had bought some 30 tons of Cuban hot pepper, which additionally sold eight tons in the first fortnight of January 2020.
Processed by the Basic Enterprise Unit for the Production of Vegetables, Cuban hot pepper was awarded at the International Trade Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2018) and at the Food and Agriculture International Fair of 2019.
The island country is now seeking new items to add to it exports portfolio.
