Cuba Pushes Electrical Appliances Output |

Havana.- Cuba's INPUD industry, located in the central Villa Clara province is bent on improving its production capacities, particularly of home refrigerators.
Backed by a one million Cuban peso investment, the industry aims at reactivating its INPUD RD01 and spare parts output, so as to replace imports as much as possible, by releasing some 16,000 refrigerators a year.
INPUD also expects to install the necessary machinery to locally produce refrigerators gaskets, for both the new models and those previously sold.
As part of the plan, INPUD will be turning out over 40,000 rice and multipurpose cookers, as well as home and industrial stoves.
