Cuban judokas to Compete in Europe in 2020

Havana.- Cuban top judokas will be competing in February in several European countries, seeking enough points to enter the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Representing the ladies are Idalis Ortiz, who leads the world and Olympic ranking in the over 98 kilogram category, Nohomis Acosta (52 kg), Arnaes Odelin (57 kg), Maylin del Toro (63 kg) and Kaliema Antomarchi (78 kg).

Standing out among the male ranks are Iván Silva (90 kg), Orlando Polanco (66 kg), Magdiel Estrada (73 kg), Heriberto Rivero (100 kg) and Andy Granda (+100 kg).

Both teams will attend the Grand Slam in Paris, as part of 825 judokas from 125 countries, and the Dusseldorf Slam, where 518 competitors from 95 countries will be vying for medals.

Antomarchi and del Toro will be joining Onix Cortés (70 kg), Acosta (52 kg) and Odelín (57 kg) at Grand Prix in Tel Aviv (Israel).
