Santiago Province Displays New Muralist Art
Monday, January 27, 2020

Havana.- New muralist paintings are appearing in the Cuban province of Santiago, which will be hosting soon the 14 InterNos Festival for 2020, devoted to this artistic genre.

Today Santiago boasts 130 muralist works, after recently adding two more to its previous trove of art, a legacy of the previous 13 festivals.

The last two of them were painted in the patio of the Elvira Cape Provincial Library and on the side and front walls of Siboney Recording Studios.

Artists from Puerto Rico, Haiti, Denmark, Saint Martin Island and Cuba have resorted to different techniques to create murals.

The festival has been supported by such local entities as the Caguayo Foundation, the Curator’s Office, Siboney Recording Studios and Casa del Caribe.
