Ediciones Union to Participate in International Book Fair
Monday, January 27, 2020

Havana.- Cuba's Ediciones Union is planning a wide array of lectures and books at the coming International Book Fair of Havana, due to open on February 6.

Insiders are hailing the launching at the event of the new issue of Roberto Fernández Retamar's "Cuaderno Paralelo" (Parallel Notebook), featuring 25 poems the late Cuban poet wrote during a trip to Viet Nam.

Also appearing will be "Teatro de fuerza y candor" (Theater of Strength and Innocence), by actress and playwright Herminia Sánchez, as well as poems by Puerto Rico’s Carmen Centeno and Dominican Republic’s Carmen Heredia.

The fair will also present a poetry anthology by Cuban Lina de Feria, National Literature Prize of 2019.

The event, to last through February 16, will pay tribute to late Cuban essayist Ana Cairo, National Prize for Social and Humanistic Sciences, and to late playwright Eugenio Hernández Espinosa, National Prize for Theater in 2005.
