Cuba Improves Care of Diabetes Patients
Monday, January 20, 2020

Havana.- Cuba’s Health System is providing high quality care for diabetes patients, in a manner that emulates that of the developing world.

Sources of the system indicate that Cubans suffering from this disease are guaranteed treatments that include the provision of glucose measuring devices, as well as medicines provided by the local bio pharmaceutical industry.

All this primary care process begins with the early detection, which will eventually include follow up treatment and family therapy, as chronic ailments are never circumscribed to a single individual.

Experts insist on the fact that an active physical life is not limited to walking and exercising, but also extends to dancing, swimming and shunning a sedentary life.

By the end of 2018, Cuba had registered over 723,000 diabetes patients. while considering that many others might unknowingly be suffering from it.
