Monday, January 20, 2020

Havana.- Cuban cyclists Arlenis Sierra and Yeina Torres, both part of Astana Women’s Team, will be running in four events in Australia in the beginning of the world cycling season.

Their itinerary will start in Adelaide, by participating in Santos Women’s Tour Down Under, a four-stage race in which the third leg will play a decisive role for the general classification.

Likewise, Sierra and Torres are to take part in the recently opened Race Torquay and in the Cadel Evens Great Ocean Road Race, with the latter being the opening event for the World Tour of the International Cycling Union.

They will also attend Lexus of Blackburn Warrior Herald Sun Tour, which comprises two stages that include the long and challenging climb to Falls Creek.

Other ladies running for Astana Team are Yareli Salazar, from Mexico; Marina Ivanyuk, from Ukraine, and Francesca Pattaro and Katia Ragusa, from Italy.
