Cuba’s Drum Festival to Be Awarded for Excellency |

Havana.- The Drum Festival, to be held here by late March, will be awarded the International Festival of Excellency Prize by the Latino Music Institute.
The prize will be presented at the 19 edition of the festival, to be attended by artists from Cuba, Canada, the US and representatives from Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean.
The event’s founder, drummer Giraldo Piloto, and the chairman of the Latino Music Institute, Daniel Martin, have agreed to join hands in order to enlarge the festival’s embrace.
Organizers are also considering enhancing their cooperation, thus creating the appropriate framework to commemorate 20 years of the Drum Festival in 2021, as well as the century of the Latino Institute’s foundation.
This year, the event will be hosted by Havana´s Karl Marx Theater, Salon Rosado in La Tropical Gardens, the Old Square, The House of Music in Plaza de la Revolución District and America Theater.
