Casa de Las Américas Announces 2020 Literary Prize |

Havana.- Cuban cultural institution Casa de Las Américas has announced its 61 Literary Prize, with judges assessing some 300 works of diverse genres, all vying for the time honored regional awards.
A panel of experts from 11 countries will have the final say on drama, short stories, artistic and literary essays, Brazilian literature and writings in French and Creole languages.
This edition will include an award for research on native Caribbean culture.
On the sidelines of the main event, Casa will be launching the latest issues of Casa and Conjunto magazines, with the latter devoted to Latin American Theater.
Likewise, there will be an exhibition recording 60 years of activities since the foundation of Casa de las Américas, featuring the Nuestra América Haydeé Santamaría Art Collection, made up of documents, works, photographs and archive material.
