Cruise Lines Bet on Cuba
Monday, January 13, 2020

Havana.- European cruise ships are betting on Cuban attractions, in an attempt to diversify their tourist offers.

One of these ships is the German cruise MS Europe 2, which berthed at Havana’s Port and is planning to dock at Pinar del Río and Santiago as well.

Later, the cruise will sail to Cartagena, in Colombia, Puerto Limón, in Costa Rica, and Colón, in Panamá.

German cruise MS Hamburg arrived in Havana by mid-October carrying 600 passengers, after docking in Cayo Largo del Sur, María La Gorda, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Santiago.

In 2019, the US Government banned all travels from US territory to Cuba by cruise liners and other ships.
