Panama Registers Rise in Cruise Travelling
Monday, January 13, 2020

Panama.- Panama has recorded a continued increase in cruise travelling in the last five years and is expecting 30 new tourist ship arrivals at Colon 2000 Docks in January, according to preliminary reports.

Thus, 80 ships are expected to have arrived by then, following the forecast of 50 arrivals from September to December last year.

Companies operating those ships include Royal Caribbean, Pullmantur, RCC, TUI and Aida.

During the 2018-19 tourist season, Panama received 200 cruisers, a number that has kept steady for the last five years, demonstrating the weight of Panama as tourist spot.

Besides Colon 2000, the cruisers also berth at Cristóbal, Gatun Lake and Amador Road.
