Experts Choose Best Cuban Athletes 2019 |

Havana.- Discus thrower Yaime Perez and Greco-Roman wrestler Ismael Borrero were chosen Cuba's best athletes in 2019.
In Perez's case, she won the World Athletics Championship in Doha, the Diamond League and the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru.
Meanwhile, Borrero was chosen Cuba's best wrestler of the year, after winning the title in the World Championships held in Nursultan, Kazakhstan.
Likewise, handball player Niurkis Mora was the best female athlete in collective sports, while Osniel Mergarejo (volleyball) won the same distinction in the men's category.
The list of the ten best athletes in 2019 is headed by Mijain Lopez (wrestling), and also includes boxers Julio Cesar La Cruz, Andy Cruz and Lazaro Alvarez, cyclist Arlenis Sierra, and judocas Idalys Ortiz and Ivan Silva.
