Natural Medicines for Health in Cuba |

Havana.- The Cuban healthcare system promotes the use of medicines of natural origin, as part of a strategy aimed at guaranteeing the quality of life of the population.
In this direction, the National Center for Scientific Research (CNIC) has produced a new medication known as Vasoactol.
This product is registered as a nutritional supplement and is an extract of high molecular weight alcohols obtained from sugar cane wax.
According to trials, Vasoactol prevents proteins and lipids from being oxidized by free radicals, which are involved in aging, genetic material alterations, cardiovascular diseases, arteriosclerosis, diabetes and cancer.
It also shows a positive effect on fat metabolism, which can improve the quality of life of the elderly.
