Monday, December 9, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best rowers are complying with a training plan focused on qualifying for the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games.

In that sense, Angel Fournier is training in Mexico, where he must finish a work program in the next few days before returning home.

In addition, the remaining group rowers are training in the Hanabanilla Dam, where they have prepared themselves for a competition in Brazil that will grant tickets for the Olympics.

For Fournier, five slots will be available for Tokyo-2020 in the Single Sculls (M1x) modality for the Americas from April 2 to 5 in Rodrigo de Freitas Lake in Rio de Janeiro.

Fourteen different rowing events will be held in in the Japanese capital, seven for men and seven for women in a modified program compared to that of Rio de Janeiro-2016.
