Havana - The Placental Histotherapy Center, the only one of its kind in Cuba, has developed a wide range of products from human placenta.
The institution promotes several commercial brands, including Melagenina Plus to treat vitiligo and Coriodermina against psoriasis.
The center also produces Biopla, a dietary supplement of high nutritional value, as well as the line of skin cosmetics under the brand Dermoplascen.
According to experts, the products will be available as of 2020, when the national line will be sold in the network of pharmacies, the standard line at international clinics and a luxury line in a center that has not been created yet.
The placentas used as raw material are obtained from pregnant women without any disease, for which agreements are signed with the national healthcare system.
