Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Holguin will begin the commercialization of a natural medication called Mentisan in the network of pharmacies.
The drug, which is used as an oral refresher, has among its main components menthol and eucalyptus, with antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
This formula can be used for the treatment of patients with oral ailments, including stomatitis.
Manufactured in laboratories in Santiago de Cuba, Mentisan will also benefit the elderly and people with disabilities, who due to their health conditions are unable to use traditional drugs.
It is worth mentioning that the pharmacies also sell tinctures and creams of Caribbean pine (Pinus caribaea), sour orange, aloe and chamomile, as part of the program to promote green and traditional medicine.
