Agricultural Exports Promoted in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- Cuba's Oriente export pole promotes the development of agriculture and the food industry.
The entity brings together producers and companies from 67 municipalities in the eastern provinces, which supply foreign markets with fruits, vegetables and other agricultural items.
In that regard, during the current citrus harvest, almost all varieties have been collected, including sour and sweet orange, lemons, grapefruit, tangerine and lime.
In addition, productions from the mountains have been rescued, mainly to make concentrated juices and essential oils, the latter are highly priced abroad.
Progress has also been made in conditioning warehouses where the processing lines will be installed, including the new multi-fruit processing plant, which will be equipped with Italian state-of-the-art technology.
