Cuba Excels in Artistic Gymnastics World Cup
Monday, December 2, 2019

Havana.- Cuban gymnast Yesenia Ferreira won the bronze medal in the jumping horse at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup held in Cottbus, Germany.

The Cuban athlete scored 14,199 points, with jumps of 14.266 and 14.133 units.

Ferreria was only preceded by China's Linmin Yu (14.649) and Slovenia's Teja Belak (14.216), in that order.

Cuban gymnast Randy Leru's performance in the horizontal bar is pending, one of his best options to qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

Qualifying for the Olympics is the main objective for Leru and Yesenia, who want to accompany Manrique Larduet and Marcia Videaux, who qualified at world championships.
