Cuba Highlights Benefits of Cuba's Drug against Cancer |

Havana.- HeberFERON, a Cuban drug to treat basal cell skin cancer, shows the benefits of its administration in patients in the province of Camagüey.
Dermatologists at the Amalia Simoni Surgical Clinical Hospital used this medication on 104 people affected by basal cell carcinoma.
It is worth mentioning that 87 percent of the beneficiaries had their injury cured, while 4.8 percent solved their problem partially.
Of these people, 54 had received therapies previously, including surgery or cryotherapy.
The drug has demonstrated its efficacy in decreasing the risks of mutilation, and offers another therapy to patients who cannot or do not wish to have surgery.
