Cuban Zeolite to Produce Fertilizers |

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Villa Clara supplied 18,500 tons of zeolite, a mineral of great importance to produce fertilizers, from January to September 2019.
According to specialists, 6,700 tons must be obtained in the last quarter to fulfill this year's plan.
The local plant supplies the mineral to factories in Matanzas and Cienfuegos, thus reducing exports of raw materials to produce fertilizers.
Poultry and pig companies also acquire the mineral due to its characteristics as a toxin reducer, in addition to absorbing moisture and odor.
Cuba's zeolite is among the best in the world, and the country has major deposits and large factories for its exploitation.
