Cuban Skipper Wins Pacific Sailing Cup
Monday, November 4, 2019

Lima.- Cuban skipper Nelido Manso won the Pacific Cup in Peru at the helm of the boat Athenea.

Winner on several occasions at the continental level and world champion in snipe in 1999, Manso competed with a Peruvian boat.

The event was attended by 11 crews from Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Peru.

The teams made a journey of 120 nautical miles, for about 25 hours in adverse hydro-meteorological conditions.

Manso and his teammates won in the ORC 600 category, thanks to five first places and a second place, which led to their third place in the race.
