Havana.- The Cuban women's soccer team in the U-14 category gave an outstanding performance in the Caribbean Challenge Series, where they were the winners in Group 5.
In the final game, the Cuban team defeated Trinidad and Tobago with a 2-1 score, with goals by Dalia Ledesma and Keila Vega.
That way, the Cubans surmounted the initial difference after Carissa Cowan scored the first goal for the Trinidadians.
In the regional competition, the Cuban team, coached by Midel Lodal, beat Suriname and Granada with a 7-0 score.
The remaining groups were dominated by Jamaica and the Cayman Islands as venues of the games in Group 1 and 2, respectively; Haiti won in Group 3 in Puerto Rico; and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines finished first in Group 4 in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
