Havana.- Cuba's Universidad de Oriente ranks in the 91st place among higher education centers in Latin America, according to the QS University Rankings Latin America.
The institution has climbed positions, as it was in the 93rd place in 2018, only preceded in Cuba by the University of Havana, which is currently in 23rd place.
Elements such as academic and the employer's reputation, the student-faculty relationship, international students and professors are taken into account for the evaluation.
The World Qualification of Universities is done annually by ordering 800 universities throughout the world according to various hierarchy criteria.
The ranking is published by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company specialized in education and studies abroad, with offices in the United States, France, Germany, Singapore, Australia, China, South Africa and Spain.
