Cuban Film Posters Exhibited in French Museum
Monday, November 4, 2019

Havana.- The Museum of Decorative Arts of France is hosting an exhibition of Cuban film posters from the 1960s and 1970s.

Entitled "Cuban Posters. Revolution and Cinema", the exhibition will be open until early 2020 and consists of 300 artworks.

The museum highlighted the art of posters and the role of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), the most important sponsor of the works, which have their own style.

This way, the French museum recognizes the international scope of film posters that reflect emblematic figures of Cuba's politics, including causes such as the demand for Angela Davis's freedom and the solidarity with the Vietnamese people during the United States aggression.
