Havana.- Cuba finished in the eighth position by countries at the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships.
With only four competitors, Cuba scored 57 points, preceded by Russia (132), Uzbekistan (80), Georgia (79), Iran (75), Kazakhstan (72), Japan (65) and Hungary (64).
The Cuban delegation won a title that went to Ismael Borrero in the 57-kilogram division, while Oscar Pino won the silver medal in the 130-kilogram category.
Additionally, two wrestlers qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo-2020, in addition to appreciating excellent demonstrations by Gabriel Rosillo (97 kg) and Daniel Grégorich (87 kg).
Cuba is expected to win six Olympic tickets in upcoming events, including the Pan-American Championships in 2020.
