Monday, September 16, 2019

Havana.- The 2019 edition of the Havana International Marathon (Marabana), scheduled for November 10, already reports the registration of 863 foreign runners.

According to organizers, that figure is twice higher than the number of participants in the previous edition, when 480 competed in the tour of the Cuban capital.

The record of foreigners dates back to 2015 when 505 representatives from 60 nations participated in Marabana.

The United States is the most represented country with 263 runners, followed by Mexico with 133, Colombia (40), France (39), Spain (28), Puerto Rico (27), Russia (21), Germany (21), Denmark ( 20) and the Netherlands (19).

Considered one of the best 17 long-distance races in the world, Marabana will be present at the 8th International Convention of Physical Activity and Sports (Afide).
