Cultural Cooperation between Cuba and Finland
Monday, September 16, 2019

Havana.- Creators from Cuba and Finland have taken actions to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries in the field of performing arts.

In that direction, Cuban artists Adan Rodriguez Falcon, who is a stage designer, and Raul Valdes, a musician and composer, will collaborate throughout September with the company Maria Baric, from Finland.

Both experts will provide services in the European country, reflecting the cultural exchange between the aforementioned group and the performing arts guild in Cuba.

Rodriguez will organize workshops to create giant puppets and give lectures on street theater in Cuba, while Valdes will collaborate with the musicalization of new projects.

The Maria Baric Company is a group of internationally renowned visual theater professionals based in Helsinki. The group combines forms of fire, shadows and puppets in its performances.
