Havana.- Cuba has announced the team that will represent the Caribbean island at the FIBA Americas Women's Basketball Championships.
The Cuban team is headed by Suchitel Avila and Yamara Amargo, two experienced players in that sport, who are accompanied by Lisdeivi Martinez and Anisleydi Galido.
It also includes Lianyi Becker, Klaudia Calvo, Isabela Jordain, Dairis Tornell, Anilebna Colas, Anay Garcia, Enriketa Neyra and Lisandra Vargas.
Cuba will play in Group A, together with Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, while the other group includes the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay.
Previously, the Cuban team will fulfill a training base in the Dominican Republic, and then they will move to Puerto Rico.
