Colombia Promotes Growth of Tourism Sector
Monday, December 3, 2018

Bogota.- Colombian authorities are promoting a strategy for tourism that aims to reach six million foreign visitors in four years.

In that regard, work is underway to close 2018 with 17 new air routes that will connect six cities in the country with Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Germany, Bolivia, Mexico and Venezuela.

With this, Colombia will reach 1,054 weekly flights and 45 cities from 26 connected countries, in addition to 23 international airlines operating and 172,000 weekly seats available.

Likewise, it is necessary to increase traffic to other airports, promote national air operations, make regulations more flexible and develop airport infrastructure.

Together with these actions, an increase in funds to promote the main Colombian attractions in several markets is expected.
