Camagüey Promotes Tourist Options
Monday, November 15, 2010

Havana.- The city of Camagüey, the capital of the eastern Cuban province of the same name, is promoting its tourist attractions to meet the growing demand from vacationers during the upcoming peak tourist season.

As part of those actions, the company AirTransat began operating a weekly flight from Toronto.

The tour operators Sunwing, Nolitours, Hola Son, Caribe Sol and TMR will use at least eight flights a week to Camagüey, where Santa Lucía beach is located.

Two dozens of excellent beaches are complemented with the amenities offered by the hotels Believe Brisas, Club Amigo Mayanabo, Gran Club Santa Lucía and Club Amigo Caracol.

Other options include excursions to nearby keys, scuba diving and snorkeling in the coral reef off the north coast and tours of the provincial capital, which was designated Humankind's Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
