Cruise Ships in Santiago de Cuba
Monday, December 15, 2008

Havana.- Santiago de Cuba, the capital of the eastern province of the same name, has become a major destination for cruise ships arriving in the Caribbean Island.

As part of that option, the ship Boudicca docked in the port of Santiago de Cuba for the second time during the ongoing winter season, carrying 762 British travelers.

According to statistics, 76 percent of travelers bought city excursions to visit local cultural and historic sites.

The most visited places were the city's Historic Heart, the San Juan Hill, the Morro Castle, Los Corales Beach at the Baconao Park, and Céspedes Park.

They also visited Cayo Granma and enjoyed the show at the Tropicana Santiago Cabaret.

Boudicca, which is scheduled to arrive in the city on January 8, will dock in the port of Santiago de Cuba city five times until March 2009.
