Tropicoco Hotel: Sea and Sand in the Blue Circuit

The largest Antillean island, strategically located in the Caribbean region and known as the "The Key to the Gulf", is increasingly attracting thousands of visitors who travel to this part of the planet every year.

Centennial traditions, transmitted from generation to generation, have survived the passage of time for the enjoyment of foreign vacationers, bewitched by the transparency of the seas surrounding the island and by thousands of kilometers of excellent beaches.

Especially attractive is the City of Havana, with its varied programs for leisure and recreation, ranging from the direct contact with the country's colonial past, its people and its cultural richness, to a refreshing plunge into the warm waters of the Caribbean.

The Santa María del Mar beaches, only 20 minutes east of Havana, are a complement to the leisure industry in the Cuban capital, a tempting strip of dozens of kilometers of white sand and crystal-clear waters, a traditional haven for Havana inhabitants in summer.

Called by many the Blue Circuit, the Eastern Havana Beaches count among its most attractive offers on the Tropicoco Hotel, owned by the Cuban hotel chain Hoteles Horizontes and turned into a sun and sea option for vacationers interested in escaping - at least for a moment - from a city of two million inhabitants.

The sand area along its coastline runs to the edge of the insular platform, which is populated by corals and a rich underwater fauna, thus becoming an excellent place for diving.

The Tropicoco Hotel, with 25 years of working tradition, started up operations in July 1976. Its 188 air-conditioned rooms (double, triple and special) are equipped with all the amenities that characterize modern life.

Built just a few meters from the beach, the hotel boasts an attractive Caribbean environment, highlighted by great indoor and outdoor gardens, and the additional offers provided by Horizontes' Club House, to meet the needs of the most demanding vacationers.

Because of its closeness to the sea, the hotel provides its guests with a wide gamut of nautical offers, promoted by professional animators who turn programmed activities into fun and entertainment.

The hotel has two restaurants, three bars, a swimming pool, a beauty parlor, commercial establishments, a massage section and a sauna, along with the possibility of providing medical care at an international clinic just 50 meters away.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of offers, nautical activities and excursions, in addition to free transfers to the Historic Heart of Havana, a city with nearly five centuries of history and traditions.
