Swiss Musical Band Will Perform in Cuba |

Havana.- The musical band "The Grenadiers of Freiburg", from the Swiss canton of the same name, will perform in several cities of the largest Antillean Island this month.
Swiss diplomatic sources said the group would perform with the National Band of Concerts and the Band of the General Staff of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
The program also includes performances at the Higher Institute of Art and the Morro-Cabaña Military-Historic Park, in the Cuban capital.
In late October, they will give a concert at the Vidal Park, in the central province of Villa Clara, along with the Band from that territory.
Founded in 1919 in the Canton of Freiburg, the visiting band is made up of 80 musicians, as a tribute to a similar number of citizens from that region who were killed during the massacre of Les Tuileries, in Paris in 1792.
The band honors the old slogan of Swiss regiments, "Honor and Fidelity", participates in historic and military parades, and has performed in France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Argentina.
