Busy Musical Program in Cuban Capital
Monday, March 4, 2002

Havana.- The Cuban capital will present a busy musical program this month, with 30 concerts in theaters in the City of Havana.

Sources from the Cuban Music Institute pointed out that the program includes performances by the National Symphonic Orchestra at the Amadeo Roldán Theater.

Singer songwriter Iván Leiva will perform at the Caturla Hall, of the Amadeo Roldán Theater, where pianist and composer Elsa Hermida will present her record "Cuba Secreta" (Secret Cuba).

The New Cuban Masters Project will organize a series of jazz concerts. U.S. violinist Eric Grossman and Portuguese pianist Adriano Jordao are expected to perform in the Cuban capital, too.

The National Chamber Music Contest, which will present an interesting confrontation between renowned interpreters and young musical students, will be held in late March.
