Work of Musical Group "La Edad de Oro" Highlighted

Havana.- The musical group "La Edad de Oro" (Golden Age), founded 30 years ago, is considered one of the first community projects implemented in the field of culture in Cuba.

The group, based in central Cienfuegos province, has also trained ten generations of children.

The group's first activities were linked to theater, staging such plays as "La Margarita Blanca" and "Abdala", in addition to finding a space in the visual arts.

Finally, "La Edad de Oro" devoted to music, and its repertoire is widely known all over Cuba and abroad.

Made up of 11 members, the children's band includes a bass guitar, keyboard and drums, among other instruments used to play the wide spectrum of Cuban music.
