Description |
There was a hospital for women and a chapel in such location since 1664. Everything was destroyed by a hurricane in 1730. Then, it was totally rebuilt to provide the same services and kept the baroque style. In 1946, the hospital was demolished, including part of the church. What was left from the church has a semi-dilapidated, with interesting decorative elements such as its changeable façade highlighted by a set of lights and shadows when tangibly receiving sunlight. Its location in the middle of a heavy traffic street, surprises everyone. Today it is used as a concert hall. |
