It stands on a 17th century hermitage, but the current construction dates back to the 18th century. Outstanding en its architecture is the stone vault above the altar, while me rest of the roof is made of wood.
It treasures great archaeological riches in its catacombs. The remains of Bishop Jerónimo Valdés, benefactor of the city in the 18th century, are kept in it. It is still open for service. |
