Maria La Gorda is a cabin complex, in 175000 sq2, located on the southern coast of Cuba's westernmost tip, on the Guanahacabibes Peninsula, Pinar del Río province, boasts a combination of natural diversity and beautiful sea bottoms. One of the most special characteristics of the area is the presence of coralline formations, including black corals, at a depth of 14 meters, as well as marine species such as barracudas and red snappers. Experts have ranked the sea bottoms at María La Gorda among the top ten in the Latin American continent, due to the abundance of marine species and breathtakingly-beautiful corals.

Nautical Sports:The Diving Shop counts on highly qualified dive instructors, and beginners can be certified with ACUC. Non divers can snorkel, fish or take boat rides, apart from taking the sun at the beach.
Diving:This diving centre has 50 sites of high level diving, some other 50 are almost unused, all of them are less than an hour cruise, and most are even 5 minutes away from the resort. Three daily boat dive departures: 09:00h, 11:30h and 15:00h.One night dive on request.
Land sport: Walking trails on the National Park area, beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, football and petanca. All sport activities are subject to climate conditions.
