One of the attractions of Paseo del Prado (Prado Promenade), a popular street in Old Havana, is the Sevilla Hotel, which is considered a classic establishment in Cuba's tourism industry. The establishment, which is near Havana's historic heart and 20 kilometers away from José Martí International Airport, is also close to many cultural and commercial attractions in the city. The hotel was inaugurated in 1908, after a long construction period. Its architectural style, which is inspired in the Moorish entrance of the Lion's Patio of the Alhambra, in Granada, Spain, features arches, columns and wall tiles. |
