Cuba Further Boosts Ties with China in Tourism

Havana.- Cuba is committed to further boost ties with China in the field of tourism, with a view to harnessing the potential of the Asian country.

As part of actions, the online tour operator CTrip, the leader in Asia and second firm in the world, will promote Cuba as tourist attraction.

In addition, Havanatur will open a representative office in Shanghai and contacts are being made with the Alipay company.

This will facilitate digital payments by Chinese citizens. In 2020, Cuba will increase the budget to promote destination Cuba in China.

From January to September, Cuba received more than 2,500 Chinese holidaymakers, a number that may increase during the peak tourist season.
