Cuba Promotes Production of Natural Drugs |

Havana.- Cuba is promoting the production and use of natural and traditional medicine, with a view to guaranteeing the population's demand.
It is worth mentioning that Cuba has 170 natural products in the basic table of medicines and aims to close 2019 with 90 million bottles.
Together with local production, institutions such as BioCubaFarma, Labiofam and the Sierra Maestra Science, Technology and Innovation Entity have joined this initiative.
In addition, 76 local production centers and 571 pharmacies contribute to promoting the culture of medicines of natural origin.
Under this format, products such as syrups, formulations derived from medicinal plants, tinctures, extracts, frictions and ointments are prepared and supplied to the population.
