Eastern Cuban Ports Are Active
Monday, September 23, 2019

Havana.- The port terminals in eastern Cuban maintain their operations in order to guarantee the delivery of goods to six provinces of the country.

The activities take place in all ports except for Baracoa, which is undergoing an investment process to guarantee services.

Ships laden with cement, food and other supplies are unloaded at the Manzanillo and Niquero terminals, in the coastal part of Granma, as well as in Santiago de Cuba, where there is a modern port built with financing from China, which guarantees the access of ships of up to 40,000 tons.

The strategy also aims to guarantee the flow of goods to the domestic market and production chains, together with the return of ships with exports.
