Havana to Host Event on Poetic Improvisation |

Havana.- The Cuban capital will gather 100 creators in the first edition of the Oralitura Habana-2019 Poetic Improvisation Meeting.
According to organizers, at least 30 artists will come from Italy, Mexico, Peru, the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain and Chile, who will be willing to share with the more than 70 Cuban peers.
The event will pay tribute to the Cuban Punto, which was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity, to the celebrations on the 500th anniversary of Havana, and to the 100th birthday of Beny Moré.
The purpose of the event is to link the improvised oral décima with artists from other events and to promote neo-improvisation.
The program includes workshops on music, theater, written décima and oral improvisation, taught by renowned Cuban professionals.
As part of the academic program, research papers will be developed on décima and the different methods and uses of oral improvisation.
