Ibero-American Center of Décima Reopened |

Havana.- The Ibero-American Center of Décima and Improvised Verse (CIDVI), in this capital, was reopened after undergoing a capital remodeling.
The resumption of activities brings together poets, musicians, improvisers and singers in that institution.
According to expert, the center is the national face of décima and the so-called Cuban punto, which are representative of the good health of those genders, hence the need to recover their image.
The Ministry of Culture was in charge of financing the remodeling of the Center, which pays tribute to the Cuban punto, which was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation and Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Founded on September 20, 2000, the CIDVI aims to contribute to the promotion, study and research of expressions of rural orality, from an Ibero-American perspective.
