Cuban Female Cycling Stands Out in the World

Havana.- Cuba is in the 15th position in the world and Olympic ranking of women's road cycling, according to the post-Pan American update in Lima.

In the list, Cuban Arlenis Sierra is number 11th in the individual ranking after moving up four places and now she accumulates 1,106 points.

Serra won 153 units in Lima and is surpassed in the ranking by the best European cyclists and Australia's Amanda Spratt, who is the world runner-up.

In the Olympic qualification, Cuba moved up eight places to the 15th position, the same place it occupies in the world rankings, where it is the third best placed in the Americas.

In addition to Sierra's 1,106 points, Cuba also has Heidy Praderas (56), Yumari Gonzalez (31), Idarys Cervantes (30) and Iraida Garcia (26) in the ranking.
