Healthcare Services Improved in Western Cuba |

Havana.- The western Cuban province of Pinar del Rio has made investments to improve healthcare services for the population.
The works, worth 5.3 million pesos, focus on five secondary care centers in the territory, including the Abel Santamaria Cuadrado General Hospital, where the incinerator and the doctors' resting area were completed.
The construction of the emergency ward in the Pepe Portilla Children's Hospital is also underway over 50 percent of execution and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
The hospital will have offices for all medical specialties on a first level, including laboratory, ultrasound and X-rays, while a medical boarding facility with capacity for 22 beds will be on a second floor.
