Bogota.- The Colombian city of Cartagena reported the arrivals of 225 cruise ships belonging to 35 companies in the 2018-2019 season.

According to statistics from the tourism sector, this recreational option brought the city revenues of nearly 66.2 million dollars, with 616,429 passengers.

Thus, cruise tourism grew 3.8 percent, and Pullmantur was the company with the highest number of accesses, totaling 51, followed by Princess Cruises.

In the season that ended on June 30, nine cruise ships docked in the city for the first time, including Azamara Pursuit, Viking Star, Magnificent MCS, Le Champlain and Emeral Princess.

The Cartagena Cruise Terminal also reported 15,222 taxi services, 1,627 buses and 2,499 microbuses, together with the hiring of 4,604 tourist guides.
