Cuba Reports More Than 2.2 Million Tourists |

Havana.- Cuba received 2,285,989 foreign tourists in the first five months of 2019, accounting for a growth of 5.83 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Industry authorities pointed out that revenues increased 1.5 percent on a year-on-year basis, although European tourist-sending markets such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom decreased 14.2 percent.
During the said period, cruise tourism contributed 409,023 visitors, with a rise of 36.26 percent, although the US measures against Cuba already exclude that option.
The new regulations prohibit travels to Cuba by private and corporate aircraft, cruise ships, sailboats and fishing boats, as well as other aircraft and similar vessels.
