Cuba to Compete in Para-Pan-American Games in Peru

Havana.- Cuba will compete with 60 athletes in the 6th edition of the Para-Pan-American Games, to be held in Lima, Peru.

According to experts, Cuban visually-impaired athletes will participate in athletics, judo and swimming.

Meanwhile, those from the Cuban Association of Physically-Impaired People (ACLIFIM) will compete in taekwondo, badminton, table tennis, weightlifting and tennis in wheelchairs.

The continental multisport event for disabled athletes will take place from August 23 to September 1, with the presence of thousands of athletes from more than 20 nations.

Cuba finished in the sixth place in the table of medals by countries four years ago in the Toronto-2015 games, winning with 19 titles, 15 silver medals and 13 third places.
