Cuban Baseball Team to Lima-2019 Announced

Havana.- Cuba will participate with a 24-strong baseball team in the 18th edition of the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru.

The team is made up of three catchers, seven infielders, four outfielders and ten pitchers.

Experts highlighted the inclusion of eight athletes who were signed by foreign leagues, including Yurisbel Gracial, Livan Moinelo and Raidel Martinez, who play in Japan.

In addition, Stayler Hernandez, Yordan Manduley and Vladimir Garcia, from the Quebec Capitals of the Can-Am League, as well as Yoanny Yera, from the Kitchener's Panthers of the Canadian Interstate Baseball League.

Another of reinforcement is the outfielder Roel Santos, who has given a very good performance with the Olmecas of Tabasco in the Mexican Baseball League.

Cuba will play in Group B at the Pan-American baseball tournament, along with Argentina, Colombia and Canada.
